I have traveled throughout the United States to catch a performance, and I have seen Branford Marsalis 9 times since it first premiered at Radio City Music Hall 15 years ago.
The cast is amazingly talented, conveying their love for their art to the audience effortlessly and professionally. It is not a simple form of dance and is very tiring, but these people never show signs of being tired.
The music is lively, awe-inspiring, and beautiful. The dances to the music are choreographed incredibly well, with every note seemingly having a corresponding movement. It is the perfect combination.
There was just something magical about seeing it return to Radio City Music Hall for the Farewell Tour. I have seen this production on many different stages at many different venues, but Radio City performances are magical!
The story alone is inspiring. If you can sit and get quiet within yourself while watching the performance, you will stir up deep emotions you may never have thought you had.
